Mr. Woody Pananto graduated in 1994 from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, majoring in Economic Laws. He joined ABNR in September 1996 and became a partner on 1 January 2007. Since the last quarter of 2001 he was seconded to the New York's office of White & Case LLP, with which ABNR was associated, for about one year. Before joining ABNR, he worked for another prominent law firm in Jakarta. Prior to completing his law degree, he worked with the Legal Aid Institution of Jakarta (LBH Jakarta) as a volunteer lawyer, from which he gained experience in litigation. His experience is in foreign/domestic investment, banking, project financing and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, oil and gas, general mining and general corporate matters. In ABNR, he has been involved in various types of projects representing both multinational and local companies in plantation, general mining, oil and gas, hotel and other industries. In project finance and restructuring, he has been part of the team established by ABNR that represented foreign investors and the former Indonesian Banking Restructuring Agency (IBRA).
